Derrick Perkins Joins Leon Industrial as Senior Vice President of Investment Strategy

Leon Industrial, a division of Leon Capital Group, is proud to announce the appointment of Derrick Perkins as Senior Vice President of Investment Strategy. Derrick brings nearly two decades of global logistics experience and will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth and strategic direction of Leon Industrial’s investment platform.
In his new role, Derrick’s focus will be on expanding the company’s footprint and delivering innovative solutions to maximize returns for investors. He will be responsible for developing, implementing, and refining investment strategies for the industrial platform. He will work closely with Leon’s leadership team to establish best-in-class tools for market analysis, fundraising, underwriting, and investor communication.
Derrick joins Leon Industrial from Brookfield, where he held leadership roles in logistics since 2018. At Brookfield, he was instrumental in scaling the company’s logistics real estate operations across the United States, Asia, South America, Europe, and the Middle East. During his leadership Brookfield grew its global logistics portfolio to 160 million square feet. Prior to Brookfield, Derrick worked at IDI Logistics, where he held various roles managing their 42 million square foot industrial portfolio across the U.S.

Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Berry College and a Master of Finance from Georgia State University. His leadership and strategic vision are expected to further strengthen Leon Industrial’s position as a respected and dynamic player in the industrial real estate market.
