Chris Gutierrez, CCIM is a Developer and Texas Real Estate Broker who began working with the Core Leon Capital Team in 2012 when his cold-call led to LCG’s acquisition of a string of key I-35 properties in the Waco, Texas area. The relationship advanced when Gutierrez was brought to the Dallas office in 2015 as a Development Consultant, and subsequently to his appointment as Vice President, Retail Development in 2016. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) who began his real estate career with the Fuller Commercial Brokerage Company in San Antonio, TX in 1982. He experienced the impact of the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and the Resolution Trust Corporation’s liquidation of many failed S&L real estate loans. While his background prior to LCG was primarily in the Industrial Real Estate Sector, he has brought his 30+ years of Commercial & Industrial experience to augment the existing Retail Development team at LCG. In addition to his for-profit career, Gutierrez has also maintained a constant non-profit and community service posture for the past 25 years. He has served (and continues to serve) on numerous local, state, and national boards and advisory committees. While studying at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., Gutierrez served on Capitol Hill as the L.B.J. Intern for U.S. Representative Henry B. Gonzalez (the then Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Housing and Community Development).
In his current role at Leon Capital, Gutierrez is the lead Developer for a significant portfolio of single tenant, net-leased properties in markets throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
