Matthew Knowles’ extensive and varied background in real estate includes having managed portfolios of multi-family residential property and commercial assets valued at more than $200 million for leading institutions, pension funds, developers and other private investors. Matthew has overseen a residential portfolio with assets located in more than 9 metropolitan markets across the nation, consisting of approximately 16 managed properties include high-rise, mid-rise, and garden-style communities. Matthew has been in the property management industry for more than fifteen years, and has had the opportunity to work with two of the nation’s largest REITS. Matthew has also developed over $180 million in Retail Real Estate projects for national big box and lifestyle shopping center space users. He was one of the founding members of the Alumni Association for the graduate program of (M.S.) Masters in Science in Real Estate Finance at the University of Texas at Arlington, serving as its president from 2003 until the program was moved by The University of Texas System in 2008. Among his achievements and roles within the industry, Matthew currently serves on several industry committees such as the Urban Land Institute, Uptown Public Improvements District, and Vision North Texas. Matthew has earned his CCIM designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member, as well as his Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. Matthew is also a licensed Real Estate Broker for the State of Texas.
