Timothy Cone serves as Vice President of Multifamily at Leon Capital Group. Timothy is responsible for directing multifamily development in the Texas region. He has a unique insight into the depth of the real estate development process. His 30+ years of diverse experience performing as a developer, architect, manager, and general contractor for multifamily housing, commercial, industrial, educational, and mixed-use projects ranging in size up to $400 million provides comprehensive understanding not available by each individual entity. This knowledge allows him to ensure that his projects are successful- financially, physically and aesthetically.
Prior to joining Leon Capital Group, Mr. Cone previously managed the development of The Floodgate Apartments: a 63-unit, 16-story high rise, top-of-the-market multifamily housing development on the famed Riverwalk in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas. He also developed 2,200 units of market-rate, premium multifamily communities throughout Texas and was job captain for the $400 million Harrah’s New Orleans Casino (billed as the world’s largest) responsible for design and construction administration for the almost 1 million square foot building shell. Two major development projects; the Vicksburg, Mississippi Convention Center and the renovation of the state-owned casino in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.
Mr. Cone has served as a Commissioner on the Historic and Design Review Commission for the City of San Antonio for 13 years, serving as chairman or vice chairman for eight of those years. Mr. Cone earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
